Phil Martin is a retired Navy veteran, an African American novelist, and lifelong teller of stories.  Born and raised in Philly, he has since lived in Japan, Italy, and numerous states in the US. An avid golfer who lives in a verdant suburb near Portland, Oregon with his family, Phil has had short stories featured in Reedsy’s weekly writing competition and placed third in Fan Story’s writing contest. He is thrilled to share the misadventures of his characters, knowing readers will find his writing refreshingly new and surprisingly familiar with characters and stories that are as realistic and entertaining as his imagination can muster.
